Leading home control specialist, Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), have released new solutions which requires minimal infrastructure at the build stage but yet offers the homeowner complete simple control of their home.

No build is the same and no homeowners are the same. Some will want to listen to music around the home, some will want to save energy by controlling the lights in the home, some like the familiarity of a remote in the hand, some will want to control everything using their Apple iPad or iPhone, some will want to be able to monitor and control their home whilst they are away.

Using affordable data and speaker cable we can first and second fix your development. Then you decide if you want to “enable” one room or several rooms so potential buyers can get a feel of what is possible or choose to avoid the cost of the hardware and provide upgrade options to the potential buyers.

Either way, you or the homeowner will have endless possiblities as to how to control the home based on the same basic infrastructure.

Basic keypads

The RTI RK1 is a customizable keypad designed for flush-mount installations in walls or cabinets. It provides a self-contained control system for controlling audio/video components, lights, or other electronic systems in the home. The RK1 incorporates two, four or eight fully-programmable buttons which can be custom labeled with text and symbols. In addition to custom labels, the backlight for each button can be configured to display almost any desired color.

We can program each button to do almost anything. So, one button could be programmed to turn lights on, switch on TV equipment, etc. Whilst another could be simple volume control, a lighting scene or turning all lights off in the home as they leave.

Remote controls

When the home owner is seated comfortably, the last thing they will want to do is get up to go to wall mounted keypad to change something. RTI have an extensive range of hand held remote controls from the entry level button only, RTI T1-B to the flagship 6.4″ touchscreen universal controller, RTI T4, even waterproof remotes for the bathroom.

The complete range of hand held remote controls are fully programmable to provide reliable control in the way the homeowner may want to control their homes.

Advanced control

Some homeowners have embraced the latest personal devices such as Apple iPads and iPhones. These smart devices are perfectly suited to controlling the home. RTI provide two applications, the RTiPanel and Virtual Panel.

RTiPanel allows us to programme unique, graphical, easy to use interfaces which can be loaded onto the customer’s iPad or iPhone (Android devices shortly) allowing total control as well as displaying media lists like music libraries.

RTI Virtual Panel allows the same easy to use interface which is loaded onto the homeowners PC.

Music distribution

RTI now also provide very cost effective audio distribution options. The RTI AD-4 allows four rooms to play audio from four audio sources and the RTI AD-8 allows eight rooms to play audio from eight audio sources. All perfectly integrated into the control system.

Integration
